At your evaluation appointment, if treatment is found to be necessary, our patient coordinator will review the details of our financial policies with you. In addition to accepting payment from all PPO insurance plans, we also accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Patients seeking assistance with treatment costs are invited to apply for patient financing through Care Credit.
Treatment Finances
Investing In Your Tooth
We gladly accept all major credit cards.
Root Canal Services Without Insurance
For patients without insurance benefits, a down payment of at least 50% will be collected to start treatment and the remaining balance will be due upon completion. If we are able to save you a trip and your tooth can be treated in one visit, the entire balance will be due at that appointment.
Root Canal Services With Insurance
Many patients have dental insurance benefits that they would like to apply toward their treatment. If you have insurance benefits and are scheduling an appointment with us for evaluation, we invite you to provide your insurance information in advance. Our team will attempt to contact your insurance carrier to determine your estimated benefits and coverage prior to your arrival. Please keep in mind that we can only obtain estimates of coverage from insurance carriers and these estimates are never a guarantee of payment. You are ultimately responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
Credit Card Payments
We gladly accept major credit cards for all evaluations and procedures performed at Miami Root Canal Specialists. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are all acceptable forms of payments. If you choose to pay with a debit card, it may be necessary to contact your bank prior to your visit with us. Larger purchases can occasionally trigger a security event on your account causing the transaction to be blocked at the time of payment. This varies from bank to bank, but a quick call to your financial institution can prevent any issues at the time of your visit.
Care Credit
In addition to the payment options listed above, we offer convenient payment plans administered through Care Credit. For more information or to apply online visit www.carecredit.com
Frequently Asked Questions About Treatment Finances
What will my treatment cost?
Generally speaking, the cost of treatment is determined by the specific procedure being performed (root canal therapy, retreatment, apical surgery) and the type of tooth being treated (anterior tooth, premolar, molar). The cost is further affected by the condition of the tooth and the overall complexity of the case. An exact cost of treatment cannot be determined without an in-person evaluation / endodontic exam. In most cases, root canal therapy and a new restoration (filling or crown) are less expensive and are completed more quickly than having the tooth removed and replaced with an implant or bridge.
What if no treatment is needed?
If it is determined that no endodontic treatment is necessary for your tooth, you will be responsible only for the costs of your evaluation. A full report of your evaluation will be sent to your general dentist describing the findings.
Do you offer any payment plans?
For patients seeking payment plans, our office offers patient financing through CareCredit. If you apply and are accepted, this patient financing company can allow you to pay for your treatment gradually rather than paying in full at the time service is provided.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Our office accepts payment by cash, check, or any major credit card. We also accept payment through the CareCredit patient financing service.
